The Birthday Card

As you know I really enjoy making cards,
it's more therapy than anything else as I
can get some peace and quite in my own space.
But it's really nice also when others appreciate and admire
your work. My son asked me to make this card and in
his words, "all my friends dig your cards so can you please
make one for me". This is for his girlfriend so i had thought he
might like to buy one so he could pick it out.
It felt really good to know he wanted one of my cards.

Rue de Fleurs

Recently we had Jen from Pink Lily Photography
take some family shots. I thought it might be the last time
my teenage children would agree to family photos.
The photos are fantastic and now I have plenty of photos to
scrapbook and work with for Christmas presents.
It's a good time of the year as it gives me plenty of time
to sort through the photos and work on handmade gifts.
Jen has a great deal for winter and the cold morning was so worth the effort.
I have a card to share.
I finally got around to inking up my Rue de Fleurs stamp set.

Thanks for the Inspiration

I really love the card that Karen Cummings made here
and below is my version of Karen's card.
I still like Karen's better and i really like this design so
I might have to give it another go and see what I can come up with.
Thanks Karen for the inspiration.

May Stamp Club

This is the card set we made at this months Stamp Club.
Jo was the hostess and she wanted to create something
using Stampin Up's Tea Shoppe stamp set.
We made a Card Tote, which can also be used as a gift bag.
We also made two fancy fold cards.
One being an Easel card and the other being a side fold card.
We all had a great night and Jo even made us a treat to match
in with the Tea Shoppe stamp set.

The Card Tote.
I was inspired to make this from Ellen's Blog,
which you can find on the right sidebar.

Easel Fold card.

This is the oh so sweet treat that Jo made.
She made a whole platter of these gorgeous little tea cups.
