2010 Christmas Cards

Here are a few of the Christmas gifts and cards i received this year, i was very spoilt.
All of these gifts and cards are so much nicer in real life, my photography isn't the best.
Thank you to everyone for these and more wonderful cards.

I received this gift from Liam Pucher, http://inspirestampin.blogspot.com/.
I love the handmade Inventory Booklet, it will be very handy to jot down what i have and to have it all in one spot so i can quickly see what i have, it is so cool and so clever.

I recieved this gift from Gemma Hall, http://www.gemmahall.blogspot.com/,
the chocolates have since dissappeared. I love the bow, i can see a craft day coming up Gem!

This is one of the christmas cards i posted out this year.

Dazzling Decorations

I love these decorations. They can take a bit of time but they are so worth it.
I cannot remember but i think i saw the pattern on Splitcoast.
My nan has recently moved into care and her room is not very festive so i plan to take a few of these to brighten her room up.

They look great at night with all that glitter.

Baby Evie

I had a wonderful day today, i visited with my 9 day old sweet niece, Evie Mae.
She is the sweetest little girl. It is so nice to cuddle a baby. Christmas this year has been stressing me more than normal and it was so nice to sit around and forget the silly season for awhile. Everything seems so much better when you hold a baby, they are magical.

Covered Notepad

I covered this notepad for a gift. I used the card backing that comes in a packet of DSP to make the cover and then covered it in DSP and decorated the front.

Frangipani Card

My sister asked me to make a card for her for a friend's birthday.
The party has a Hawaiian theme and so i ran with frangipanis.
There is lots of glitter spray and the flowers have a water colour effect that hasn't really shown up in the photos. It turned out to be a pretty card.
It was hard to decide on a colour theme as i don't know the recipient.

Inside the card. I made the card square so there is a bit more space to write on. I am really happy that Stampin Up have square envelopes in their catalogue.

Regional Scrap Page

We made this 6x6 page at Regionals, i really liked it but with the circles on the side it wouldn't quite fit in my album so i put it onto a 12x12 page and added a few more butterflys and stamps.
I added the clock as the photo was taken with Alice in Wonderland characters.
I love the butterflys, i had to get these after seeing the butterfly at Regionals, it's so true what they say about letting someone touch the products and they "need"to have it. That is "so"me.

It's a Girl

This is the card i have made for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
It turned out quite sweet. I have used dimensionals on the animals and the white scalloped circle.
I am really loving the vintage laces from the Summer Mini and the so cute safety pins.

 Inside of the card.

24 Days Till Christmas

We decided this year to sort through our Christmas decorations and have gone with my handmade Christmas craft as the decorations. We have for many years now only decorated our tree with papercraft decorations my daughter and i make. It's so nice to be surrounded with everything that makes me happy.
Now just to get all that shopping done.

My New Storage

My wonderful husband built this Bookshelf for me and finished it yesterday.
I am totally amazed, he had no plans, just a grid book and planned it all out in there.
Now not only do i have somewhere large enough to store all my Scrapbooks but i also have a long shelf on top to display all my cards and crafts.
I have been quite busy lately so no cards to share and i haven't even started my Christmas cards yet, which even surprises me, it's just been one of those months.

Woodland Walk

Give me pink anything, flowers, lace, ribbon and i could go on and on for days making things. So unfortunately for my son he misses out sometimes as i struggle with scrap pages for boys. He recently went away for camp and i wanted to scrap about his time away. I have used Woodland Walk DSP as it kind of has a cameo look about it. I have tried to fit too much on this page but in years to come it's the photos we will look at, not so much the layout.

Same but Different

I made this card similar to the card in my previous post, just on it's side.
The shimmer paint is really pretty, i love the quality of the paint.

Sydney Regionals 2010

I had a really nice time yesterday in Sydney. What can i say about the venue, but WOW, Sydney Wentworth was amazing. Lucky Gemma even got to spend the night there. It was so nice to catch up with everyone, even though it was very short. I looked forward to this day for months and it really did feel like it went by in a blink of an eye. The swaps are such good quality, it's hard to keep up with so many talented crafters out there now. The presentations were great and as always Stampin Up go to so much trouble.
Well, enough rambling, i have some photos to share, i don't have photos of what we made on the day, because i was too busy talking and only managed to make one of the four projects.

We had morning tea before the day started at the Wentworth.

The lights and decor was very nice.

Myself, Gemma & Denise having fun.

This is my swap.

The following are swaps i received.
I didn't photograph this too well but in between the layers of this decoration is a chocolate coin.

Donna Weatherby

Not sure who made this, no name on back of swap, this is a beautiful card IRL.

These are just a few, i love them all, now to find the time to CASE them.
I should have taken the swaps out of the plastic sleeves to eliminate the glare.

It's so nice to see it in print.
Our Tennis team Won the Final yesterday, playing in the heat was horrible but we got there.
It was so nice to enjoy this experience with my son, Callum.

Here is the card that has been published.

This is how it looks in the magazine.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #47!

This is the sketch this week from, http://inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/,

and here is my card

I turned the sketch onto it's side but apart from that i haven't changed anything else.
