One Wonderful day

I have no crafty items to share today but i want to share about my day.
As it worked out we have no children for the whole day/night.
So we went out, beautiful sunny weather greeted us as we left
our home early, still a chill in the air.
We had a yummy Banana Pancake to share with coffees
at Avoca Beach Cafe, right on the beach.
Then off to the park for the handcrafted monthly markets,
such creative, clever people out there, well we already know that.
Next stop Terrigal for a wander through the home wares stores.
Then a few stops here and there to browse through antique stores.
We had lunch by the beach but this time Shelley Beach.
So what did i come home with?
I am so happy to have found these old, Post Office Scales.
At a great price too and they work like a dream,
to the exact measurement.
So for tonight, clubbing!!!
No, a quite night in with candles, warmth and peace & quite.
It truly is days like these that re-energize the soul.

Elegant Birthday

A few weeks ago my lovely friend, Denise celebrated
her birthday and due to life being very hectic all around
we have only recently had the chance to catch up.
So better late than never i was able to give her a card and can now share it.
There are many elements on the card,
beautiful vintage ribbon, butterflies, shimmer paint,
embossing and some pearls.
I also covered a chocolate with DSP and added
a little decoration.

attempt this Challenge.
http://inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/2011/06/inkspirations-sketch-challenge-73.html
I really love this Sketch and after making the card i decided
to continue and make an 8x8 scrapbook page.
I am really pleased with the results.

A Soggy June Long Weekend

Well, what to do on a Long Weekend when your front lawn looks like this,

It really is weather for the Ducks!
Whip up a batch of Scones with some jam and whipped cream. Yum!
But most importantly lock yourself away to craft.
I have my Ipod on, my M&M's, Glasshouse Candle-Caramel/Vanilla burning,
the heater on to keep me warm
and the slow cooker has been cooking away since 9am.
I really do love Winter, all the excuses to indulge ones self.
I have caught up on swaps (cannot share these yet) and
have had a lovely play with some new products.
I can share this card, i have made it for a male.

I hope whatever you are up to this weekend you can stay dry and warm
and can fit in some paper crafting.

Published Card

A few months ago i sent off a few cards to be
considered for publication in the
Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine.
One of my cards was chosen and will be in
issue Vol 17 No 5, in the Reader's Gallery.
Also chosen for this issue and on the same page is
a card made by my Upline Linda.
It's always a nice surprise to get an early copy of the magazine
and to see your work published.
The card below is the card that is in the magazine
and the card at the bottom is the other card i
also sent in.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #71

I have joined in with the Inkspiration Sketch challenge this week.
I found it a great template to use and a great way to use
up bits and pieces of scrap paper.
