Birthday Surprise

Last week i celebrated my Birthday and i was spoilt.
I woke up to a lounge room full of pink balloons,
my family gave me presents and cooked a hot brekkie.
On the day i received this card in the post from my very
generous friend Gemma.

I was then completely taken by surprise when these gorgeous flowers were delivered.
I have never had flowers delivered to home before so i was completely blown away and
i had no idea who sent them.
I looked at my husband and he was shaking his head saying "their not from me".
So i was very intrigued to find out who they were from
and they were from Gemma & Tony.
Thank-you so much, xo.

My family decorated the chalkboard.

5 bags (1kg) of M&M's. i have a bowl on my craft desk that i keep
M&M's in so now my bowl won't be empty now till Christmas, (maybe).
I did laugh when i opened these all wrapped individually.

And last the view from the top floor room where me and hubby stayed the night.
This has to be one of the best Birthdays ever.

A Royal Crown

I was recently having a look on Denise's Blog,
and i really liked the look of how she had made the top-note die into a square look,
so i thought i have to try this.
Here is what i came up with, very regal looking.

Pretty Storage

I was not liking the heat at all last weekend but felt creative.
I have had this project sitting there for awhile,
waiting to be painted and decorated.
So i thought that won't take long, i will put this together,
well famous last words. Life, family and stuff came along and it took
alot longer to finish and i was thinking i should have made a card.
I am happy with how it turned out, although it's not what i really had in mind
but that happens alot, i have a thought and then go off in a different direction.
It is quite pretty in real life.
I am not sure what i will use it for, it has two compartments inside,
maybe scissors and things.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #58

These are not colours i would normally put together but that's why the challenge is good.
The card has grown on me over night.
I have doubled over the Early Espresso ribbon to make it thinner.
I have sponged the edges of the Whisper White and
paper pierced around the heart and around the edge of the Tangerine Tango.

Love Is In The Air

Happy Valentine's Day.
I made this card for my dearest and i added lots of punched out hearts to make a little shaker box.
There is a few layers going on here and lots of hearts here and there.
We don't really celebrate today but it's a nice reason to make a card.

Happy Birthday Friend

I really enjoy making cards and gifts for someone that i know will appreciate the effort it does take at times when creating. The card and little notepad below was made for a gift for a friend. Once i started the card i didn't know when to stop, even after finishing the card and taking a photo, i still went back again and added a little safety pin to the lace ribbon on the left hand side. The front panel also has a little spritz of gold shimmer paint over it. I also decorated the inside of the card but once again i wrote on it before taking the photo. I inked the edges around the card and distressed the front panel.
I was inspired by a card Teneale Williams made,

Decorated little notepad Handbag.

Leftover Bits

I had a few small leftover bits and pieces from my mystery card kit that i posted about yesterday and as i don't like to waste anything i have made a little tag to go with the card.

Thanks for dropping in to have a look. Have a great day.

Madonna's Mystery Card Kit Swap

I joined in on Madonna's Mystery card swap.
I really enjoyed this challenge. The link above explains what was required for us to do.
I received a very generous pack of goodies, below,
and here is my card, i did struggle with what to come up with and many different ideas came to my mind but in the end i just started and it all came together.
There was enough DSP to decorate the inside of the card and i added a Very Vanilla top note.
