My New Storage

My wonderful husband built this Bookshelf for me and finished it yesterday.
I am totally amazed, he had no plans, just a grid book and planned it all out in there.
Now not only do i have somewhere large enough to store all my Scrapbooks but i also have a long shelf on top to display all my cards and crafts.
I have been quite busy lately so no cards to share and i haven't even started my Christmas cards yet, which even surprises me, it's just been one of those months.

Woodland Walk

Give me pink anything, flowers, lace, ribbon and i could go on and on for days making things. So unfortunately for my son he misses out sometimes as i struggle with scrap pages for boys. He recently went away for camp and i wanted to scrap about his time away. I have used Woodland Walk DSP as it kind of has a cameo look about it. I have tried to fit too much on this page but in years to come it's the photos we will look at, not so much the layout.

Same but Different

I made this card similar to the card in my previous post, just on it's side.
The shimmer paint is really pretty, i love the quality of the paint.

Sydney Regionals 2010

I had a really nice time yesterday in Sydney. What can i say about the venue, but WOW, Sydney Wentworth was amazing. Lucky Gemma even got to spend the night there. It was so nice to catch up with everyone, even though it was very short. I looked forward to this day for months and it really did feel like it went by in a blink of an eye. The swaps are such good quality, it's hard to keep up with so many talented crafters out there now. The presentations were great and as always Stampin Up go to so much trouble.
Well, enough rambling, i have some photos to share, i don't have photos of what we made on the day, because i was too busy talking and only managed to make one of the four projects.

We had morning tea before the day started at the Wentworth.

The lights and decor was very nice.

Myself, Gemma & Denise having fun.

This is my swap.

The following are swaps i received.
I didn't photograph this too well but in between the layers of this decoration is a chocolate coin.

Donna Weatherby

Not sure who made this, no name on back of swap, this is a beautiful card IRL.

These are just a few, i love them all, now to find the time to CASE them.
I should have taken the swaps out of the plastic sleeves to eliminate the glare.

Reader's Gallery

I was very excited to see one of my cards has been chosen for the Reader's Gallery in
Cardmaking,Stamping & Papercraft, Vol 16 No 9, on sale soon.
It's so nice to see it in print.
Our Tennis team Won the Final yesterday, playing in the heat was horrible but we got there.
It was so nice to enjoy this experience with my son, Callum.

Here is the card that has been published.

This is how it looks in the magazine.

Decorated Notebook

I decorated this notebook for a lucky door prize for last Sunday.
I wasn't sure about making the notebook in a Christmas theme but i thought the lucky recipient could use it to jot down Christmas presents. I have an old, ratty looking book that i have used for years for Christmas so i just might make myself something like this. I will add a pocket at the front and back for reciepts as well.

Crafting Sunday

We all had a wonderful day on Sunday. We had twenty lovely ladies craft the day away.
All the preparation and organizing worked out well.

The tables waiting for the fun to begin.

Denise, Gemma & Olivia getting in on some fun too.

Eight Projects made on the day.

Scrap page, top note box, love note box, gift tags,
hand bag, calender, box in a bag & tote bag
with cards.

The day went so fast, as they all do when you are having a good time.
Looking forward to next year.
Thanks Gemma & Denise.

Gift Boxes.

After completing the boxes in my last post, i thought i would have a play around with a few ideas.
I have two ten year old nieces and i thought they would love these little sets of drawers to put all their little bits and pieces in. I made this one for myself so i will probably make theirs in different colours.

Christmas Boxes

These are super cute boxes. There is a good size "3"x3"box on top and a drawer on the bottom.
You can find the tutorial at Inking Idaho, 12 Days of Christmas 2010.
I will be making a few of these as well for this Christmas and in different colour schemes they could be used all through the year for different occasions. Sometimes i can get stuck in a rut and lose my "mojo"and i find having these types of projects on hand can really get me back into papercraft.
The photos are not as bright due to the wet weather we have been having.
I am off tomorrow to the Christmas Extravaganza Day and i am teaching a class on how to make the Handbags i have posted about in earlier posts.
I am looking forward to it and a little bit (well alot) nervous as well.
I will post some photos of the day soon.
Have a lovely weekend.

More Christmas Craft

Now this was fun to make. I can see myself making tons of these for this Christmas. The tag slides out so you can stamp or write a message on there. This project is from Inking Idaho, Becky Roberts, 12 Days of Christmas 2010. I have added a small piece of transparency on the box with the chocolates in it, i think it just finishes it off. You could make these at any time of the year, with a different theme.

Christmas Craft.

I have been having lots of fun and late nights making lots of Christmas Off The Page projects. I bought the tutorials from Inking Idaho and after a few small measurement adjustments all the projects have turned out great. I love the unknown of making something new and when you finished it is WOW and it really does look like the photo. Here is a photo of the handbag i made form the 12 Days of Christmas 2010 Tutorials.
I have a few more photos to share over the next few days, all related to the tutorials.
Enjoy!

Pink Horse

Being Melbourne Cup Day, i thought a horse inspired card was a good bet.
I made a bundle of these last year for a friend's, daughter's birthday.
It took me quite along time getting the horse to the right size and then cutting them all out. But the little girl loved them. I hope you all had a great Melbourne Cup.

Joy at Christmas

I was having a play around with my new stamp set and punch, Delightful Decorations & Ornament Punch and this is what i came up with. I need to work on my Christmas cards. I haven't made many for myself to give this year yet. I think i wore out my Christmas creations when making the Cards for the Troops. Wow, what a wet afternoon around here.
