Study all Round

I nearly forgot to take photos as gifts and cards
were flying out the door last week.
The house has settled into becoming quite
and stress free so dear daughter can study.
She went to school today for lessons and has a few more days
over the holidays to go to school.
We received her school end of year report and are so
pleased as she came in the top five for every subject
and placed first in a few.
We had a lovely meal out on Friday night with a few friends to celebrate.
I made the girls "Stuvac bags", study vacation.
Here are a couple i managed to photograph.
Some snacks, sweets and a little mad money for a magazine
or something to keep them going for all the long days and late
nights studying.

I haven't been able to fit much card making in lately
but here are a few cards i made the other week.

Mid-Week Up-Date

Yesterday was a full day with my son at Oztag and
he scored a try, so proud.
Today it was work out in the garden with my nephew.
We weeded, watered and planted seedlings and watched
as my husband mowed.

We then moved inside and baked Rock cakes.
I haven't had them since i was a child but little
Max loves his sultanas so they were a good choice today.

This afternoon turned out to be lots of fun.
We baked a Periodic cake for the Chemistry teacher,
for my daughter's friends class.
If you know Chemistry some symbols are missing but it's
the thought that counts, well that's what we are saying
and could only fit what we could on the cake.
I do have two cards to share.
This card i made for the male teacher.
I tried, that's all i have to say.

This card i made for the Dance teacher and i really like it.

Loving those cute little darling butterfly's.
The gifts went out today to the teacher's.
I have had positive feedback and an email
from the teachers
and they all loved them.
Two of the teachers don't want to use the cards,
they would just like to keep them.
I am happy to know they were received well.

Teacher's Gifts

With only one week left of actual Year 12 school,
it was time to come up with some teachers gifts.
For me i was lucky that four out of five of my daughter's
teachers are female. I am still working on the male teachers gift,
it is all in my mind i think, if i can just get over that i
can do male related gifts and cards i will be fine.

I made a set of five cards for each female teacher.

I then made four handbags for the cards to go in.
I tried to match up the teacher's personality with the colours
that's why they are all so different.

The tag hanging from the bag has the butterfly at the front
and on the back i used the scallop punch to
stamp a sentiment.

I also bought some pretty and colourful cups to go
with the cards and bags.
I know teachers must get zillions of cups/mugs but i chose
these ones as a percentage of sales goes towards
the Breast Cancer Foundation.

I am finding it hard to believe that my little girl is nearly finished
a huge part of her schooling, we still have a few weeks of study
left and then the HSC. I will post later next week the gifts
i have made for her and her friends.
They are study survival kits with snacks and treats.
Have a great weekend!!!

A Few Projects

The time is going by so quickly at the moment and before
long Christmas will be here.
I have made the following tiny gift bag from two
Envelope die cut outs. It would be great to hang on the tree
with chocolates or money in it.

The new Stampin Up Two Tags die is a fast way
to make stylish tags for gifts or to use on scrapbook
pages as an accent.
I will be using alot of these for my Christmas presents this year.

Gemma came up with these projects and we had a great night
playing with the new Stampin Up fabric, so many
possibilities for the fabric.

New Toys

Like a child with a new toy i could not wait
to play with my new stamps and things.
I should have been asleep, as the calender is
full for this week and i need all the rest i can get.
But who can sleep when ideas are running
through the mind. I have CASED this card
from somewhere, changed it up a bit and
i know i am going to be grabbing for this set often.

Inkspirations Challenge #85

I have a card to share today.
I followed the sketch below and took part in the,
http://inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/2011/09/inkspirations-challenge-85.html
I like sketch challenges as you don't need to
worry about the lay-out, just the bits and pieces
to put together.
