A Top Note Gift

Can you believe it is April already?
I have been having a play around with some new products
from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue that starts today.
I ran some chipboard through my Big-Shot and used the Top-Note Die
to cut out two Top-Notes. I glued them back to back.
I then covered both sides in Designer Series Paper and decorated.
I have made a little wall hanging.
I added some little scraps of paper so i can write down shopping
lists or must have stamping lists.
I decorated the front bit of paper but the others underneath are blank.
I have used the Gorgeous new Designer Series Paper,
Botanical Gazette and the stamp set French Foliage.
This would make a great little gift and would like nice in any colour combo.
Have a great weekend and enjoy life.

I used my Crop-O-Dile to punch two small holes at the top to thread
the ribbon through and a small hole at the bottom to add a
little charm.
The back side but you could also add paper to this side
and change it around to have a different look.

Inspired by a Gift bag

I bought this beautiful gift bag for my sister's birthday.
I love the colours and the butterfly.
Using this bag as inspiration i made her a card to go with the bag.
I got out my brayer again and used it over a piece of Very Vanilla
to try and get a close match in colour to the bag.
I added some lace and a butterfly.
The Baroque Motifs stamp set worked well for all the swirls,
this would have to be one of my all time favourite sets.

Notes of Bliss

I was having a play around with the Top-Note die and i ended up making this sweet little note book.
I have decided to keep it for myself and jot down the things i am grateful for.
I really enjoyed making this little book.
I made the front & back cover and inside pages using the Top-Note die.
I covered the front of the book and the butterfly's with clear window sheet to protect them a bit.
I also ran them through an embossing folder for texture.
I used 2 pieces of card for the front and back covers to add a bit of weight and covered them in DSP.
I used the Crop-O-Dile to punch through the layers.
I punched two holes and threaded ribbon through them to bind the book.
I randomly stamped on the inner pages and that way i can journal around the images.
I used 3 Top-Note pages inside, folded, which gives you 12 pages and i thought it would also be great to make one for Birthdays and have a page for each month.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #60

I enjoyed this colour combination. I like to participate in the colour challenges as i can try different colours and it takes me away from my favourite ones.
Here is the link to this weeks challenge,
I completed this card just in time this week. I had a card in mind to make and it worked in well with this challenge.

Elegant Lines

I wasn't sure about this embossing folder and what to make of it but it does make for a quick and stylish card. Just add a few embellishments and it's finished.
The folder creased the Whisper White card so i wasn't quite sure about that, maybe i will try it on thicker card as the embossed lines are deeply etched.
But overall i liked the end result.
