Sweet Birthday Mail

I love happy mail any time of the year but it's

extra special on your birthday.

I have had a fantastic week of celebrations

and feel very loved. 

Below is a gorgeous package that Nerida sent me.

The card is amazing as is the tag.

The packaging for the hand sewn pouch is very creative.

I love all the detail and the trinkets.

Denise sent me this card.

Loving all the textures and colour.

This card is not handmade but it is so beautiful

and will give me so much inspiration.

My MIL gave it to me, she knows me so well.

My sweet husband made this card for me.

My addiction of vintage music paper

has rubbed off onto him.

Friday Mashup No.97

Get out those Markers!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:

1. Make a project "using your Markers (thumping,Color Spritzing,Coloring etc.)".
2. Or Make a project with "Texture".
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with "Texture using your Markers".

I loved this challenge. I went with number 3 and used texture with my markers.

I used my markers to colour the stamp from Stampin Up's Postage Due stamp set.

I then used Stampin Up's Square Lattice Folder to add texture to the image.

I also used my Chocolate Chip marker and Stampin Up's Colour Spritzer Tool

to add some colour spritzing to the Crumb Cake card piece.

I distressed the edge around the main image with the new

 Stampin Up Distress Tool to add extra texture.

I love the dimension and the amount of room to decorate.

These cards look really good to display.

I can't wait to try this design using other framelits.

Friday Mashup No 96

What time is it?

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:

1. Make a project with a "Time Theme".

2. Or Make a project using the "Color Black".

3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with a " Time theme using the color Black".

Black is not a colour I would normally use on a card.

I have made cards before with black and they do turn out striking.

For the challenge I have used Crumb Cake for my card and then

added layers. I tried to make this card masculine for my

husband for Valentine's Day. I think with the linen thread,

pocket watch and the touch of black you could give this

card to a male. All products Stampin Up.

Happy Birthday Friend

I love to make things for people that I know will

for one keep them and two appreciate the effort

that goes into handmade items.

So when I am making something for someone like this

I love to go all out. My friend Nerida and

 fellow Stampin Up demonstrator recently

celebrated her birthday and I posted off a small

gift to her. I made a card with my favourite Stampin Up

products and I sewed a coffee cosy using Stampin Up

Comfort Cafe fabric. I also made a tag to attach to the gift.

It was well received and the coffee cosy has already been

put to good use and fits her cup perfectly.

February Stampin Up Launch

I held my Stampin Up launch this week and showcased

products from the Stampin Up Sale A Bration catalogue

and the Seasonal Catalogue.

I decorated some gift bags and included a sample bag of

products so my friends could go home and make

more cards or projects with the samples.

We also made the two cards and gift box below.

It was great working with the new products

and so easy as everything coordinates beautifully.

Mashup Glamette

How very excited was I this morning when I went

over to http://www.fridaymashup.com/

and saw that my card was chosen out of all

the amazing cards for last weeks challenge.

I have copied and pasted the entry below

The paper piercing caught my eye right away and I love the embossing,

 it showcases the colors wonderfully!

Stampin Up Soda Pop Tops

I have been busy creating a few samples for my

Stampin Up new seasonal catalogue launch.

I have had  a lot of fun creating with the new

Soda Pop Tops. I have two cards to share with you.

For both cards I have placed the tops into my big-shot

and flattened them out. Makes it easier if you are

posting the card and looks really cool.

I also used the Natural Trim Ribbon on the second card.

I can see myself using this ribbon a lot, the texture

is fantastic and is great for vintage cards.

I also love the Stampin Distress Tool. I have used

it to distress around the circle, so fast.

A French Touch

I have a "significant" birthday coming up, 

well that's what I am being told.

I really don't want to think about it.

I still think of myself as younger but then this morning

I had a revelation. I was up at 6am, dropped my son

off to senior school and I was washing blinds and windows

when I thought how much I enjoyed clean windows.

So yes I am ageing, I am like my mother, I do enjoy

to sit and have a coffee and read the paper, like my father.

I do like to have my cleaning done early.

All of these things are not bad, not bad at all, just a new

stage in life that creeps up on you when you are not looking.  

Maybe too when you look at it, I am grown up, never thought

that would happen. One thing though I am still looking forward

to is the cake. And then there is that saying "you are only as

old as you think". So not all so bad.

Anyway here are some timber Paris words I have decorated

for the French Country Market I am attending in March.

1. Make a project with the colors "Raspberry Ripple, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive".
2. Or Make a project "Creating your own Sentiment (No Stamps, Stickers, Chipboard etc.).
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project "With your own Sentiment using the Colors above". 

This weeks challenge I have chosen to Mash it Up.

These 3 colours are pretty cool mixed together. They have

a fresh feel to them. All products are Stampin Up.
